My name is Lil, and I'm a British–Australian language teacher, writer and editor. I was born in Melbourne, Australia, but I've lived in London for the past 15 years.  

For me, language is all about communication. I've helped many clients in business, government, charity and the arts to communicate successfully in my work as a professional writer and editor. And I love doing the same for my English language students!

If you want to improve your English – for work, study or fun – I can help you reach your goals. I'm a CELTA qualified teacher, with experience teaching in one of the UK's top-ranked English language centres. My approach is to shape lessons around your individual needs and interests, and to help you find ways of learning that work for you.

I'm a language student, too, so I know how challenging it can be to learn a language as an adult. I can help you to find strategies to improve your confidence and fluency – and to take every opportunity to use your English...in real life! 

If your focus is business English, I'll bring my real-life experience in business communication to lessons. I'm also a creative teacher, with a background in the arts as well as business. Before moving to the UK, I graduated from art school, exhibited as a visual artist and worked in costume for film and TV.
